This is the last email you'll get from us as a FOSSY 2026 registrant,
since we delete our database every year. Please signup for the general
SFC announce list at [0] to learn when we have more to say about FOSSY
2027! Also, if you haven't filled out the survey yet, you have until
the end of this week (11:59pm PDT on September 5th) to do that. :) Here

Returning to the University of British Columbia, FOSSY 2027 [1] will be
August 5-8th next year! The campus was enjoyed by all attendees and
allowed us to connect with the local student and staff communities.
Being close to the coast, mountains, and city allowed conference goers
to explore the locality and even get to know the local free software
community!
We had lots of excellent talks at FOSSY this year, and we'll be
publishing recordings of them over the next couple weeks. Stay tuned on
our low-volume announce list [0] to hear when they're up!
Soon we will be calling for track organizers, so if you are interested
stay on the lookout for announcements on our website, chat rooms, [2]
announce list mentioned above, and Fediverse. [3] We're looking to start
track organizers earlier this year so that we can help facilitate folks
to properly plan, solicit, and support speakers. Our community driven
tracks are a highlight to be able to make space for the issues that are
important for all users and developers of free software.
You can find our sponsorship prospectus [4] if you or your company wants
to be ahead of the curve on supporting next year's event. FOSSY is a
conference dedicated to uplifting the free software community and takes
pride in being supported by organizations with similar values. As
attendees will know, we ask our sponsors to stop creating proprietary
software during opening remarks. Help us keep FOSSY community-focused!
