This seems to only search a few (3) hard-coded platforms, by synchronously
querying their own search API. It does not support self-hosted Gitea or
GitLab instances at all, just gitea.com and gitlab.com.

An actual federated search would have to both deal with discovery (finding
self-hosted instances), its own index (synchronously querying everybody
doesn't scale), and ranking.
