You may be interested in Beancount [1] (ledger-like, but more strict,
implemented in Python) and Fava [2] (a great web-UI for Beancount,
implemented in Python. Demo [3]) as well.

In general, the plaintextaccounting [4] website provides a good starting
point for finding ledger-like projects.
