Reinstall kallithea but keep the repos

What exactly failed? Depending on that you could also attempt to keep
the database. This is mostly useful to retain comments on pull
requests and changesets, I think.

That should work. You'll have to let Kallithea rescan the repository
directory (via the settings or command-line) before it sees the
repositories.
