starting the discussion: merchandising at Conservancy

Here is an off the wall idea:

The Autobon society once distributed saplings that one could plant to promote re-foresting.

Any interest in selling little Evergreen saplings that folks could plant in the front yard of their favorite Library?

Scratch the pens and Post-it notes.Just remembered - we have to recover our costs. Nobody's going to pay for apen or Post-it note.So guess I'm open to suggestions beyond the T-shirts.+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+Amy TerlagaAssistant Director, User ServicesBibliomation, Inc.32 Crest RoadMiddlebury, CT 06762203-577-4070 x101www.biblio.org-----Original Message-----From: merch-bounces at sfconservancy.org[mailto:merch-bounces at sfconservancy.org] On Behalf Of Amy TerlagaSent: Wednesday, February 06, 2013 4:09 PMTo: 'Tony Sebro'; merch at sfconservancy.orgSubject: RE: starting the discussion: merchandising at ConservancyHi Tony--I'm interested in starting up some merchandise sales for the Evergreenproject. We'd love to have some things to sell in time for our Aprilconference (April 10-13). I was thinking T-shirts, pens, post-it notes tostart, but I'm open to other ideas. I have no idea as to how much moneywe'd need to get a good base of merch for sale for this initial wave and I'dneed some help with that. I'm also looking for some good companies toproduce these - I want quality at a reasonable price. (Doesn't everybody?)Thanks for getting this list going. It's coming at a really good time forus!Amy+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+Amy TerlagaAssistant Director, User ServicesBibliomation, Inc.32 Crest RoadMiddlebury, CT 06762203-577-4070 x101www.biblio.org-----Original Message-----From: merch-bounces at sfconservancy.org[mailto:merch-bounces at sfconservancy.org] On Behalf Of Tony SebroSent: Wednesday, February 06, 2013 4:00 PMTo: merch at sfconservancy.orgSubject: starting the discussion: merchandising at ConservancyHi, all:I know that several projects have expressed an interest in discussing issuesrelating to merchandising: strategies and best practices, vendorrecommendations, design feedback, etc. I hope this list can become acentral place for participants in Conservancy member projects to share ideasand ask questions; that way, Bradley and I can determine how Conservancy canbest help you achieve your goals. So, with that: what would you like to see your project do? And, how canConservancy help?Best,-Tony--Tony Sebro, General Counsel, Software Freedom Conservancy+1-212-461-3245 x11tony at sfconservancy.orgwww.sfconservancy.o_______________________________________________merch mailing listmerch at sfconservancy.orghttp://lists.sfconservancy.org/mailman/listinfo/merch_______________________________________________merch mailing listmerch at sfconservancy.orghttp://lists.sfconservancy.org/mailman/listinfo/merch_______________________________________________merch mailing listmerch at sfconservancy.orghttp://lists.sfconservancy.org/mailman/listinfo/merch
