Hi Liz, I'm so excited that this list is coming together!

I'm Karen, and I work for Software Freedom Conservancy (I like to keep
my location private and I note that this list is publicly archived at
the moment).

I have a heart condition and an implanted pacemaker/defibrillator, and
my experience with a medical device that wasn't quite made for my
situation (shocking me unnecessarily basically because I was pregnant)
has made me an advocate for software freedom and ethical tech.

I am a huge fan of copyleft and the promise that it has to empower
people to control the technology that impacts them.

I also co-organize Outreachy, a paid remote internship program for folks
subject to systemic bias.

I have other hats (hands? :) ) but I think those are the most relevant.
I'm excited to be a part of this discussion.
